March 2012 at Central Park was the 2nd warmest and 4th driest, their records go back to 1869! In fact if it was not so cold and it didn’t rain they would have broken both records.
However their combination of Feb-Mar 2012 was by far the warmest such period smashing the previous record by 3 degrees. That is the reason all the flowers and trees are blooming so early.
Today will be mostly cloudy but it will be milder with highs in the upper 50s. Showers are likely from about 5PM-11PM tonight.
Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the 50s
Tuesday will be mild with highs in the 60s. Slight chance of a shower in the evening
Wednesday through Friday look quite nice with no rain and highs mainly in the upper 50s, near normal for this time of year..

Doreen are you talking about the length of daylight, yes it is about that in fact it is 2min 41sec more daylight..
If you are talking about sunshine today compared to yesterday, would be about 3 mins also
