My forecast for yesterday was good for my backyard but just a couple of miles to our south a drenching thunderstorm caused flash floods in the afternoon in the Nutley, Bloomfield and Lyndhurst area.
The forecast for our area remains mainly dry and warm the next few days although there is a slight chance of showers on Saturday afternoon and again on Tuesday.
Meanwhile Tropical Storm Isaac is moving through the eastern Caribbean, the forecast is for the storm to move to the north coast of Cuba on Sunday and then just off the southwest coast of Florida (near Naples) on Monday and then hitting the Panama City, Florida area on Tuesday. Questions still remain on how strong the storm will be especially after it interacts with the mountains of Hispaniola and Cuba… Still a few days to watch this storm and the forecast probably will change..
