Warm day today followed by very high winds and rain for tonight!


It is foggy this morning ahead of a warm front, temperatures are in the upper 30s however on the other side of the front temperatures are very mild with the 5am temperature in Buffalo NY is at a record breaking 63 degrees. This warm front will move through around 10am, southerly winds will cause the temperatures to rise to near 60. High impact weather for tonight with very strong winds gusting to 55 mph especially around midnight also there will be very heavy showers around with some thunder, these showers can cause very heavy rain and flash flooding.. Clearing on Thursday it will remain windy with gusts over 40 MPH, temperatures will fall throughout the day from near 50 early tomorrow morning dropping to the 30s by sunset. Friday through the weekend into early next week look seasonably cold with highs mostly in the 30s and lows in the 20s, no big storms but we may have some snow showers Saturday night into Sunday morning and rain or snow showers around Tuesday.

The forecast: Today – Dense fog this morning, remaining mostly cloudy with showers developing after 3PM, highs near 60.
Tonight – Showers and a possible thunderstorm, wind gusts to 55 MPH, rain showers may be heavy enough to cause flash flooding – low around 50.
Thursday – Showers ending by 8am, clearing and windy, gusts to 40 MPH, morning high of 50 degrees falling to the 30s by sunset..
Friday – Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow showers, high in the upper 30s.
Saturday – Partly sunny, high in the low-mid 30s, chance of snow showers at night.
Sunday – Chance of morning snow showers then partly sunny, high in the upper 30s.
Monday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 30s.
Tuesday – Mostly cloudy, chance of rain or snow showers, high in the upper 30s.

Marine Forecast: Gale warnings today and Thursday – South-southwest wind gusting to 50 knots, seas up to 12 feet.
Outlook – Small craft advisory will likely on Friday then drop below advisory levels for the weekend.
