Once again it is a chilly this morning with temperatures in the upper 20s with clear skies. During the day today we will have plenty of sunshine and with lighter winds it will be more comfortable than yesterday.
But winter is not done yet, a storm over Alabama this morning will redevelop off our coast on Monday, snow will develop around daybreak and continue into the evening, computer models are still inconsistent in the amount of moisture that will reach our area but I will stick with my previous forecast of around 4 inches with more over Central New Jersey.
After the storm passes we will have dry weather the rest of the week with a slow moderation of temperatures to even near normal by next weekend, normal highs for the end of March are in the mid 50s.
The forecast: Today – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.
Tonight – Becoming cloudy with a chance of snow before daybreak, low in the low 30s.
Monday – Snow likely continuing into the evening, becoming windy, high in the upper 30s, total accumulation around 4 inches..
Tuesday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.
Wednesday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.
Thursday – Mostly sunny, high near 50.
Friday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 50s.
Saturday – Partly sunny, high in the low 50s.
Easter – Partly sunny, high in the mid 50s.
Marine Forecast: Today – Northwest wind to 15 knots diminishing this afternoon, seas up to 3 feet.
Outlook: Gale watch for Monday then small craft advisories possible Tuesday and Wednesday.
Enjoy the nice weather today!
