Heavy rain and flash flooding today as the remnants of Andrea move up the coast!


Moderate to heavy rain has moved into our area with nearly with nearly an inch of rain has fallen by 6:30am, rain rates may lessen later this morning before the main batch of rain from the remnants from Tropical Storm Andrea starts affecting our area with very heavy rain this afternoon and evening that will likely cause flash flooding in our area as we expect rain total of 2-4 inches with some high amounts possible. No strong winds and only some minor coastal flooding will occur with Andrea.
Most of the rain will be out of here by early Saturday morning but we still have a chance of showers on Saturday, however we will also see some sun and temperatures will rise to around 80.
More sunshine on Sunday with temperatures a little warmer.
More rain with thunderstorms likely on Monday into Tuesday.
Drier weather with near seasonable temperatures Wednesday and Thursday..

Saturday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower, high near 80.
Sunday – Partly sunny, high in the low 80s.
Monday – Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely, high in the upper 70s.
Tuesday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 80.
Wednesday – Partly sunny, high in the upper 70s.
Thursday – Partly sunny, high near 80.

Marine Forecast: Small craft advisory from 11am this morning till 8pm Saturday. Today – Southeast wind to 25 knots, seas building to 8 feet.
Outlook – Next system may cause small craft advisories to be issued from Monday night into early Wednesday.
