More flash flooding possible today; Much less humid by Wednesday afternoon!


Over two inches of rain fell in the Clifton area as we had some torrential downpours yesterday afternoon and again during the overnight hours.
It is muggy again this morning but most of the heavy rain has moved offshore. We should have a dry morning but showers and thunderstorms are likely again this afternoon with more very heavy downpours in some area. A flash flood watch is in effect until 8PM this evening. It will be warm and humid with highs in the 80s.
A cold front will cross the area tomorrow morning with much drier air behind the front, with sunshine tomorrow high temperatures will be in the 80s.
Thursday will be a very pleasant day with very low humidity, early morning temperatures will range in the upper 50s to the low 60s and daytime highs in the low 80s.
Pleasant weather to continue on Friday.
Little more humid on the weekend, there may be a pop up thunderstorm on Saturday but a better chance of showers on Sunday as another cold front approaches our area.
No sign of intense heat for a least the next two weeks.

Saturday – Partly sunny, high in the mid 80s.
Sunday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 80s.
Monday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

Marine forecast: Today – Southwest wind to 11 knots, seas up to 3 feet.
Outlook – Sub-Advisory level conditions through Friday.
