Humidity and rain chances increase as we start the work week!


At daybreak we have mostly cloudy skies, temperatures are higher than the last few mornings with temperatures in the upper 60s.
After a very nice weekend, we will see more in the way of clouds along with a chance of showers during the day today. Showers likely tonight with possible thunderstorms, it will be muggy.
We should see a break in the rain activity on Tuesday and it will be a very warm and humid day.
Showers and thunderstorms likely for Wednesday.
Drier air will be moving in Thursday with rather nice weather for the Labor Day weekend. Temperatures will be warmer than normal.

Another great weather day to end the weekend!


Under mostly clear skies temperatures in the Clifton area at sunrise are in the upper 50s with lower readings inland.
Abundant sunshine will be the rule again today with temperatures a couple of degrees higher than on Saturday, humidity will stay low.
Warmer and becoming more humid on Monday with a good chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday night.
Tuesday should be rain free with quite warm and humid conditions.
A cold front moving through on Wednesday will cause rain chances to increase again, it will remain quite warm and humid.
After the frontal passage temperatures will not drop much but humidity will lower Thursday through Saturday.
Indications are for a possible heat wave starting Sunday (September 1st) and lasting through Labor Day through most of next week.

Excellent late summer weather for this weekend!


Under clear skies at daybreak temperatures have fallen to 60 degrees in Clifton to many 50s inland, dew points have also fallen to near 50.
High pressure will dominate our weather this weekend with warm days and cool comfortable nights. High temperatures on both days will be in the low 80s, just about perfect for outside activities.
Temperatures and humidity will increase on Monday as the high pressure moves offshore.
Shower chances increase Tuesday and Wednesday with warm and humid weather expected as a cold front moves slowly through our area.
Drier air moving into the area for the end of the work week with seasonably warm temperatures.
The long range forecast for the Labor Day weekend is for quite warm temperatures with little or no chance of rain but of course this forecast could change…

Wonderful weather through the weekend!


My forecast for yesterday of temperatures in the upper 80s with scattered showers didn’t workout that well as we had rain most of the day with high only in the upper 70s due to an upper air disturbance that moved though our area. I picked up .53″ yesterday but some parts of Somerset county recorded over four inches of rain causing flash flooding.
A cold front did move east of our area early this morning, temperatures at daybreak are in the upper 60s.
Today we will have mostly sunny skies with lower humidity dew points dropping to the 50s..
Excellent weather this weekend with seasonably warm days and low humidity and plenty of sunshine.
We should squeeze out another nice day on Monday but humidity will start to rise and there is a chance of showers at night.
Warmer and more humid weather most of next week with shower chances increasing.
Latest indications that the Labor Day weekend will be quite warm.

Muggy Thursday with showers and thunderstorms possible!


Skies are cloudy at daybreak this morning and it is quite warm and humid with overnight lows only dipping down to the low 70s with dew points around an uncomfortable 70.
There are some scattered showers around this morning but chances of showers and thunderstorms increase for this afternoon and evening as a cold front approaches the area.
The cold front will cross the area early on Friday with much drier air behind this front, with plenty of sunshine temperatures should still be still quite warm.
A beautiful weekend is coming up with seasonably warm temperatures with low humidity levels.
The nice weather should extend into Monday but showers are possible as we head into Tuesday and Wednesday along with an increase in humidity.
