Fall preview ending today!


Another clear and cool morning as we have temperatures in the upper 50s with lower readings in the normally colder areas.
We should squeeze out one more comfortable day with mostly sunny skies, low humidity and highs again around 80.
A warm front approaching from the southwest will cause considerable cloudiness on Wednesday with shower chances along with the humidity increasing.
The warm front will push through on Thursday, good chance of showers and thunderstorms, some heavy rain possible, it will be warm and humid.
Mostly cloudy and very humid on Friday with still a good chance of showers and thunderstorms.
A cold front will cross the area some time on Saturday along with some showers and thunderstorms, it will be quite warm but less humid later in the day.
High pressure building in will cause nice weather on Sunday and Monday with clear skies, comfortable humidity and seasonably warm temperatures..

Fantastic Early August weather to start the work week!


Under clear skies temperatures in the Clifton area has dropped to the upper 50s which is the coolest temperature here since June 20th. Some of the coldest areas of Northwest New Jersey readings are in the upper 40s.
With plenty of sunshine today temperatures will reach 80 degrees with continued low humidity and a bit less wind than yesterday.
A return flow from the south will give us increasing cloudiness on Tuesday with a chance of showers by evening..
Rain will be likely on Wednesday with the heaviest falling Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Also the humidity will be rising with dew points rising to near 70 degrees as a warm front crosses the area.
Chances of showers and thunderstorms again on Friday.
Another cold front will cross the area on Saturday bringing in another cool and dry air mass for Sunday into early next week.

Nice cool and dry weather the next three days!


At sunrise this morning skies are mostly clear, temperatures are in the low 60s in the Clifton area and dew points have dropped to the comfortable 50s.
High pressure building into the area will give us mostly sunny skies today, high temperatures will be in the low 80s with comfortable humidity.
Very cool tonight with temperatures falling into the 50s in the Clifton area with 40s in some colder spots inland.
Plenty of sunshine Monday and Tuesday with high temperatures reaching 80 degrees on both days.
Rain chances increase as we head into Wednesday as a frontal system approaches from the west.
A warm front will move to our north on Thursday with warmer and more humid air and a good chance of showers that may be heavy at times.
Another warm and humid day on Friday with showers and thunderstorms possible as a cold front moves through.
Next weekend at this point looks dry with highs in the 80s.

Not a good beach day to start the weekend!


This morning in Clifton we have cloudy skies along with some sprinkles, temperatures are in the upper 60s.
A frontal system moving through our area today will keep considerable clouds in our area with some light showers, high temperatures will be a bit below normal, reaching to the low 80s.
High pressure will build in for Sunday bringing back mostly sunny skies with highs again in the low 80s but with less humidity.
Very pleasant weather for early August Monday and Tuesday, overnight lows both Sunday and Monday night will be in the 50s with even some 40s inland. Highs will be near 80 with plenty of sunshine and comfortable humidity.
Unsettled weather Wednesday though Friday with shower chances increasing along with warmer and more humid air.

Sunshine returning for Friday but more showers possible for Saturday!


Skies are clearing after yesterday’s rain in which I recorded .60″ on my rain gauge in Clifton.
With sunshine today high temperatures will return to the 80s.
Another frontal system will introduce a chance of showers Saturday afternoon and evening but there will also be some sunshine so the day will not be a total washout.
Following the front high pressure will build in and will produce excellent early August weather Sunday through Tuesday with temperatures below normal with low humidity.
Another frontal system may give us more showers next Wednesday and Thursday with a little higher humidity.
Again looking at the long range computer models there is no indication of any heat waves at least through the middle of August.
