Colder air returning; Big coastal storm should just graze us Tuesday night!


Skies are mainly cloudy early this Sunday morning and temperatures are in the mid-upper 30s.

Skies should remain mostly cloudy today and high temperatures will be around 20 degrees lower than yesterday.

Very cold tonight with mostly lows near record levels dropping to the upper teens to the low 20s.

Despite plenty of sunshine on Monday temperatures will only rise to the 30s, well below normal for this time of year.

A strong coastal storm will develop on Tuesday, it appears the worst part of the storm will miss us to the east, we still may pick up a couple of inches of snow Tuesday night, less to our west and more to the east,  Cape Cod area may experience a full fledged blizzard..

Clearing at continued cold later on Wednesday.

Temperatures moderate on Thursday with plenty of sunshine but remain below normal.

Mild weather Friday into the weekend with a chance of showers.

Quite mild weather for next week!

 

The forecast: Today – Mostly cloudy, high in the mid 40s.

Tonight – Partly cloudy and cold, low in the low 20s.

Monday – Sunny, high only in the mid 30s.

Tuesday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow developing continuing at night, high in the upper 30s.

Wednesday – Cloudy in the morning then becoming sunny, high in the upper 30s.

Thursday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

Friday – Cloudy with a chance of rain showers, milder, high in the upper 50s.

Saturday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high near 60.

 

Marine forecast: Today – North-northwest wind to 13 knots, seas 2 feet.

Small craft advisory will be in effect from 6PM this evening until 10AM on Monday.

Outlook – Sub-advisory levels Monday night, winds increasing to gale force Tuesday and Wednesday, with conditions lowering to below advisory levels on Thursday.
