At daybreak this morning rain has moved into the area and temperatures are in the upper 50s, winds are brisk from the northeast.
Today will be a cool and rainy day with about an inch of rain, winds will be brisk as a minor nor-Easter moves up the coast, Gale warnings are in effect for coastal areas.
The rain will taper off later this afternoon and end this evening. Coastal areas will have more rain than inland areas.
Sunshine will return on Friday with warmer temperatures.
It will be a warm and dry for the first weekend of fall with highs both days in the low 80s..
Dry and somewhat cooler to start the workweek.
The midweek period may see another another coastal storm but it is still too early to tell how it will affect our area.
