We have mostly clear skies on the New Year’s Day morning and early morning temperatures range from around 20 in the Clifton area to the low teens further inland and as low as 4 degrees in Walpack, NJ, winds are light.
Today the winds will pick up and although high temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher than yesterday, wind gusts to 30 mph will make it feel colder, despite mostly sunny conditions.
Friday will still be windy but again with plenty of sunshine and temperatures a couple of degrees higher than today.

Sunday we will have showers and it will become quite mild with highs reaching the 60 degree mark.
Colder air moves back in Sunday night and should be with us most of next week, we should stay mainly dry but there is a slight chance of flurries or snow showers Monday and Tuesday.
