Snow showers tonight followed by more frigid weather for Thursday and Friday!

With clear skies and light winds have caused a wide range of temperatures ranging from 11 degrees here in Clifton to many below zero readings in the colder valleys,  the coldest being Walpack, NJ where it is a chilly -12.

Today we will have a mostly sunny reading with temperatures rising to near 30 degrees.

Another Arctic front will cross the area tonight accompanied by some snow showers which may give us an inch or so of snow.

Frigid Arctic air will again cover our area Thursday and Friday with daytime highs struggling to reach 20 degrees and overnight lows near zero, winds will be gusty and wind chills will be as low as -25 degrees.

Slight moderation in temperatures on Saturday but a low pressure system approaching the area from the Ohio Valley will give us a chance of snow by Saturday afternoon, mixing with freezing rain at night.

On Sunday there will be a mix of snow and freezing rain changing to all rain for awhile Sunday afternoon before changing back to a mix of snow and freezing rain at night.   Total snow accumulations will range from about 2-4 inches.

Dry and cold weather to start the work week, while it won’t be a frigid as the cold snaps this week it still will be well below normal for late February.
