Skies are cloudy over the area early this morning and there are a few showers over Northwest New Jersey, temperatures are a little lower than the last couple mornings ranging from around 70 in the Clifton area to the upper 60s further inland, humidity remains on the high side and the winds are light.
Today we will have mostly cloudy skies with some early showers then we should see a lull in the precipitation till later this afternoon, temperatures with more clouds will be lower than the last couple of days but the humidity will still be rather high.
Tonight showers and thunderstorms are likely with the heaviest rain to our north across the Hudson Valley where a flood watch is in effect. Heavy rainfall will be more isolated in the Clifton area but some drenching downpours can still occur. Some of the thunderstorms may be severe especially over western parts of New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania with damaging winds and even a small tornado can not be ruled out.
Fantastic summer weather Friday through the weekend with plenty of sunshine each day, temperatures will be quite warm to hot but the humidity will be lower than the last few days.
Very warm Monday through Wednesday with shower chances again increasing along with higher humidity.
