Skies have become overcast early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the mid 30s here in Clifton to the upper 20s in the colder inland spots and although these temperatures are above normal for this time of day it will be the coolest morning of this week.
Today will be mostly cloudy and despite only a little sunshine warmer air will move into the area with temperatures reaching the 50s.
Tuesday will be mainly cloudy with some light rain likely mainly falling in the morning as a weakening cold front moves through the area.
A warm front will be approaching the area on Wednesday giving us rain that may be heavy at times.
Record breaking warmth on Christmas Eve with only a low chance of some showers, temperatures are likely to hit 70 degrees or even higher if we get more sunshine.
Christmas Day will only be slightly cooler and along with plenty of sunshine it will be a rather nice day.
A frontal system over the weekend in our area will cause considerable cloudiness along with a chance of showers, temperatures will continue to be well above normal.

TUESDAY – Cloudy with rain likely mostly falling in the morning, high near 60.
WEDNESDAY – Rain possible heavy at times, high near 60.
THURSDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high near 70.
CHRISTMAS DAY – Mostly sunny, high in the low 60s.
SATURDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the low 50s.
SUNDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the mid 50s.
MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Small craft advisory in effect till 6 p.m. this evening for southwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.
OUTLOOK – No advisories expected on Tuesday but advisories expected Wednesday and Thursday.
