Skies are mostly cloudy across the area on this Tuesday morning and there are some showers and thunderstorms with the heaviest activity now is across the Hudson Valley and the Poconos, temperatures range from the low 50s in Clifton to the upper 40s inland, winds are light.
A warm front now just to our south will be in our area today which will cause a continuation of shower and thunderstorms during the day, there will be a wide range of temperatures with high temperatures north of the front across the Hudson Valley only in the 50s while south of the front temperatures will rise to the upper 70s and low 80s, mainly across central and southern New Jersey. Some thunderstorms may be quite strong especially south of the front.
High pressure then will build down from the north with clearing and cool conditions for Wednesday.
Another frontal system will give us a chance of more showers mainly Thursday afternoon and night, with clearing on Friday, temperatures will be quite cool.
A mainly dry weekend is expected with temperatures slightly below normal. More showers are possible Sunday night into early next week.

SUNDAY – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s, chance of rain late at night.
MONDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the low 60s.
MARINE FORECAST: Small craft advisory in effect till 6 a.m. on Wednesday for southwest winds up to 25 knots, seas 4-6 feet.
OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday through Saturday.
