Another rainy, cool and cloudy day today! Finally some breaks of sun and not as cool over the weekend but still a risk of some showers!


Rain has moved into the area this morning and temperatures range from around 50 here in Clifton to the mid 40s inland, winds are light northeasterly.

A low pressure system offshore will pivot into our area today causing rain this morning tapering off to showers by late this afternoon, with the continued overcast skies temperatures once again will be unseasonably cool with highs only in the mid 50s, expect around 3/4 of an inch of rainfall.

The low will weaken on Saturday but there still is a low chance of a shower and we also may see some breaks in the clouds allowing for finally some sunshine.

A cold front will cross the area on Sunday morning accompanied by some showers and followed by a mostly sunny afternoon but it will be breezy.

Monday looks to be a mostly sunny day with near normal temperatures.

A warm front will be approaching the area Tuesday and Wednesday that may touch off more rain showers, temperatures however will continue to be near normal with highs near 70.

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisory in effect till 6 a.m. on Saturday for easterly winds gusting to 35 knots, seas 6-9 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories possible Sunday afternoon otherwise seas and winds below advisory levels Saturday through Tuesday.

 

APRIL 2016 CLIMATE SUMMARY:   Temperatures averaged 51.6 degrees which was 0.3 degrees above normal;  Precipitation totaled 2.92″ which is 68% of normal

Highest Temperature: 82 on the 18th and 22nd.    Lowest Temperature:  23 on the 5th which was the coldest April temperature in 12 years.

We have cloudy skies again early on the Thursday morning and there is some drizzle or mist falling in some areas, temperatures range from the mid 40s here in Clifton toe the low 40s inland, winds are light.

Our dreary weather continues today with continued overcast skies and quite cool temperatures, there will be some drizzle, onshore winds will make it feel cooler.

Another low pressure system will be moving in from the ocean on Friday with more steady rain especially during the afternoon into Saturday morning, temperatures will continue to be cool.

It will be a little milder over the weekend and we may finally see some sun, however there is still a chance of showers mainly Saturday night into Sunday morning as a front moves through the area.

Warmer as we head into next week, Monday should be dry but there will be another chance of showers Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Cloudy and cool with periods of rain and drizzle through Friday! Milder over the weekend with showers still possible! Warmer next week!


Skies are cloudy early this Wednesday morning and there are some drizzle or light rain falling across the area, temperatures range from around 50 here in Clifton to the mid 40s inland, winds are light.

More of the same damp and dreary weather through at least Friday as a trough of low pressure will be over the area.  Periods of rain or drizzle along with cloudy skies through Friday with daytime highs only in the 50s each day, the best chance of heavier rain appears to be this afternoon and again Friday afternoon.

The upper low pressure is expected to slowly move offshore over the weekend, it will be milder but there is still a chance of showers both Saturday and during the morning on Sunday.

Finally some sunshine with warmer temperatures early next week!

Rain tapering off this afternoon! Continued cool with showers through Friday! Some improvement for the weekend!


It is raining this Tuesday morning but temperatures are a little milder than the last few morning ranging from the low 50s here in Clifton to some upper 40s inland,  there is a light easterly wind.

Today rain will continue most of the morning with the heaviest rain tapering off this afternoon to light rain or drizzle, with the clouds and an onshore wind temperatures will remain in the 50s.

Mainly cloudy and cool weather Wednesday through Friday with some showers as an upper level low pressure will be in our area, the best chance of steady rain will be on Friday.

Finally some improvement for the weekend with milder temperatures however there still is a chance of showers especially on Saturday night.

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and some areas drizzle is falling, temperatures are mainly in the low to mid 40s with light winds.

Today will be cloudy day with some light rain mainly falling this morning as a stationary front is to our south and we are stuck with a cool and moist onshore flow, temperatures may not be as chilly as on Sunday with highs today about 10 degrees milder.

Another disturbance on the front to ours south will cause more rain on Tuesday again mainly falling in the morning.

An upper level trough in the area Wednesday through the weekend will continue the chance of showers each day but we should see more sunshine on the weekend with milder temperatures.
