Humid with well needed rain today! Mainly dry and unseasonably warm weather for the rest of the work week!


It is cloudy and humid early on this Monday morning and rain is finally moving into the area from the west, temperatures range from the low 70s here in Clifton to the upper 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A slow moving front will be moving through the area today producing showers with possible thunderstorms, some of the rain will be heavy at times with rainfall amounts around an inch with some higher totals possible.  Rain will taper off to scattered showers tonight.  It will be humid with dew points around 70.

High pressure will build into the area on Tuesday and be with us through Friday giving us plenty of sunshine each day with temperatures well above normal for this time of year.

A weak cold front may touch off a light shower Saturday morning.

Sunday should be dry with cooler temperatures with highs only reaching the low 70s, however these readings are near normal for the end of September.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Cloudy and humid with showers and possibly some thunderstorms, rain may be heavy at times, high in the upper 70s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of evening showers then becoming partly cloudy, low in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

WEDNESDAY – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

THURSDAY – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

FRIDAY – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

SATURDAY – Partly sunny, chance of a morning shower, high in the upper 70s.

SUNDAY – Sunny, high in the low 70s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – South-southwest wind to 6 knots, seas 2 feet.  Water temperatures are in the low 70s.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Tuesday through Thursday.
