Our area has mostly cloudy skies early on this Wednesday morning. Temperatures are on the mild side with readings ranging from the upper 50s in the Clifton area to around 50 further inland; there is a brisk west wind.
Today we will see clouds breaking up this morning but it will become overcast once again by noontime as a weak cold front comes through the area; sunshine should return by late this afternoon. Winds will be brisk and it will not be as mild as the last couple of days.
Tomorrow we should see some sunshine in the morning but become cloudy again in the afternoon as a storm system approaches from the Tennessee Valley, temperatures once again will be seasonably cool.
Friday will be a wet day as low pressure moves into our area, rain heavy at times throughout the day and evening with rainfall amounts averaging 1-2 inches.
The weekend will be unsettled and cool as an upper air low pressure will be in our area, there will be a chance of showers both days.
Still a chance of showers on Monday as the upper low will be only slowly moving away, temperatures will continue to be cool.

FRIDAY – MAY 5 – Rain heavy at times with a chance of thunderstorms, high in the mid 60s.
SATURDAY – MAY 6 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the mid 60s.
SUNDAY – MAY 7 – Partly sunny with a chance of a shower, high near 60.
MONDAY – MAY 8 – Partly sunny with a chance of a shower, high in the upper 50s.
TUESDAY – MAY 9 – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s.
MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for west-northwest wind to 25 knots, seas 3-4 feet.
OUTLOOK – No advisories expected during the day on Thursday with advisories likely Thursday night through Saturday.
