Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and it is quite muggy, temperatures range from around 70 in the Clifton area down to the mid 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm. There are some light showers in parts of the area but most places are dry.
Today we will have considerable cloudiness and it will be humid, there is another area of showers that should move just south and east of us later this morning into early this afternoon but our area should stay dry.
High pressure will cause more sunshine on Wednesday, temperatures will be quite warm but the humidity will be a little lower as high pressure builds into the area.
During the day on Thursday should be mostly dry but showers are likely to develop at night.
Showers are likely Friday into Saturday morning along with humid conditions.
Clearing on Sunday and becoming less humid. Mostly clear weather is anticipated for the eclipse on Monday, about 70% of the sun will be obscured in our area in the afternoon.
Meanwhile Hurricane Gert will be moving well offshore but should bring higher seas to our area later today into Wednesday.

THURSDAY – AUG 17 – Sunny in the morning with increasing cloudiness in the afternoon, high in the low 80s, chance of showers and thunderstorms late at night.
FRIDAY – AUG 18 – Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely especially in the morning, humid, high in the mid 80s.
SATURDAY – AUG 19 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning then becoming partly sunny in the afternoon, high in the upper 80s.
SUNDAY – AUG 20 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.
MONDAY – AUG 21 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

OUTLOOK – Small craft advisories possible for high seas from Hurricane Gert on Wednesday; no advisories expected Thursday through Sunday.
