Plenty of sunshine today and milder after a chilly morning! Mainly dry and warm most of this week!


MONDAY  OCTOBER 2, 2017  5:40 A.M.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the upper 40s in the Clifton area down to the mid 30s in some inland valleys, winds are mostly calm.

High pressure over the area will give us a sunny day today, temperatures will rise quickly after a cool early morning, highs today will be a couple of degrees milder than yesterday.

Tuesday will continue to be mostly sunny, temperatures will be similar as today’s.

Warmer Wednesday through at least Friday, the warmest day may be on Thursday with highs approaching record levels.

Mild weather should persist on the weekend but a couple of fronts may cause showers Friday night and again on Sunday.

TODAY – OCT 2 – Sunny, high in the mid 70s.

TONIGHT – Clear, low around 50.

TUESDAY – OCT 3 – Sunny, high in the low 70s.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 4 – Sunny, high near 80.

THURSDAY – OCT 5 – Mostly sunny, high in the low to mid 80s.

FRIDAY – OCT 6 – Partly sunny, high near 80.  Chance of showers at night.

SATURDAY – OCT 7 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

SUNDAY – OCT 8 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the upper 70s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – North-northwest wind to 8 knots, seas 2 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Tuesday through Thursday; possible small craft conditions on Friday.

 

SEPTEMBER 2017 CLIMATE SUMMARY:  September averaged around 3 degrees above normal.  Highest temperature was 92 degrees on the 24th.  Lowest temperature was 50 recorded on the 2nd.   Precipitation was well below normal with 1.86 inches, but only .15 inches were recorded after September the 7th.
