Another nice and mild day today! Stormy weather from late tomorrow through Saturday morning with strong winds and rain, which may mix with snow on Friday!


WEDNESDAY  FEBRUARY 28, 2018  5:51 A.M.

Good morning everyone!   Skies are partly cloudy early this morning; again there is a wide range of temperatures with readings near 40 in the Clifton area, with the low 20s recorded further inland, winds are mainly calm.

Today will be another nice and mild day as high pressure moves offshore and a southwest flow develops, temperatures may be  a couple of degrees higher than yesterday, but the winds will be a little stronger.

Low pressure is expected to develop and move to just south of Long Island by Friday, rain from the system will develop late tomorrow afternoon and continue through Friday.   On Friday the rain may mix with snow. No accumulation is expected here, but inland across the higher elevation may mix up a couple inches of snow.  Winds will pick up and be gusty out of the north.

Saturday looks to be windy with a chance of rain or snow showers.

Fair weather with seasonably cool temperatures are expected Sunday through early next week.

TONIGHT – Increasing cloudiness, low in the low 40s.

THURSDAY – MAR 1 – Mostly cloudy with rain likely after 5 p.m. high in the mid 50s.

FRIDAY – MAR 2 – Rain mixed with snow, windy, high in the mid 40s.

SATURDAY – MAR 3 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers, windy with highs in the upper 40s.

SUNDAY – MAR 4 – Sunny, high in the mid 40s.

MONDAY – MAR 5 – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – South-southwest winds to 13 knots, seas 1-2 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected during the day on Thursday; small craft conditions developing Thursday night with gales possible!  Gales expected Friday and Saturday morning; small craft conditions expected to continue Saturday afternoon through Sunday.
