Cloudy today and becoming more humid! Showers and thunderstorms likely tonight into Wednesday!


Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly clear early this morning and temperatures range from the upper 60s in Clifton to around 60 further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A warm front approaching from the southwest will cause skies to become cloudy today and it will become more humid as dew points rise to the low 70s by late in the day.  We should remain dry during the day today but showers and thunderstorms are expected from tonight into Wednesday, some of the rain may be heavy at times.  A cold front will cross the area around midday on Wednesday followed by less humid air by evening.

Very nice late summer weather is expected from Thursday through the weekend with plenty of sunshine through this period.  The humidity will be very low Thursday into Friday but slowly increase over the weekend.

Looking ahead it appears that next week will be quite warm to hot.

SATURDAY – AUG 25 – Sunny, high in the low 80s.

Mainly a dry and seasonably cool day today! Showers likely from late tomorrow through Wednesday!


Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly cloudy early this morning and temperatures range from the upper 60s in the Clifton area down to the upper 50s further inland, winds are light northeasterly.  Yesterday we had .07″ of rainfall.

After having measurable rainfall on 12 of the last 19 days today should end up dry except for possible morning drizzle along coastal areas. Some sunshine this afternoon will bring temperatures a few degrees higher than yesterday when the high temperatures was only in the low 70s.   High pressure will be moving off the New England coast.  The humidity will be comfortable with dew points mainly in the low 60s.

A warm front approaching the area on Tuesday will cause the humidity to rise with dew points reaching the oppressive low 70s once again.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely late Tuesday into Wednesday morning when a cold front crosses the area.  Some of the rain may be heavy at times with flash flooding a possibility.

After the front goes by we will finally have an excellent stretch of nice late summer weather Thursday through the weekend with plenty of sunshine along with comfortable humidity.

Cloudy and much cooler today with a chance of a shower! Pleasant weather on Monday with more rain likely late Tuesday into Wednesday!

Skies are mainly cloudy across the area early this morning and temperatures range from around 70 in Clifton to the low 60s further inland.   There are some light showers in parts of the area mostly across Central New Jersey, winds are light northeasterly.   Yesterday I recorded .83 inches of rain.

A cold front has pushed to our south and we will have much cooler air today with highs only reaching the mid 70s, skies will remain cloudy throughout the day with a low chance of a couple of light showers.

Monday will be a pleasant day with seasonably cool temperatures and partly sunny skies.

Tuesday will start off dry but a frontal system will likely cause more rain from late Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, some of this rain may be heavy at times.

High pressure will build into our area late in the week into next weekend providing our area with plenty of sunshine, seasonably warm temperatures and much lower humidity.

Warm and humid with more showers and thunderstorms likely today! Cooler on Sunday but still a chance of showers!

Skies are cloudy early this morning and there are some showers moving through our area, temperatures range from the low 70s in the Clifton area down to upper 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high with dew points in the low 70s.   Nearly two inches of rain has fallen since yesterday evening.

Today will be a mostly cloudy and warm and humid day with showers and thunderstorms likely, some storms may again be accompanied by heavy rain and a flood watch continues in effect.  A cold front will cross the area tonight.

Sunday will be cooler but still a chance of a lingering shower especially to our south as the cold front moves very slowly to our south.

Monday looks to be a dry day with comfortable temperatures and humidity as high pressure builds into the area.

More showers are likely late Tuesday into Wednesday as a warm front followed by a cold front swings through the area.

Dry weather with comfortable temperatures and humidity Thursday and Friday as another  high pressure will dominate our weather.

Skies are mostly clear early this morning and it is quite warm with temperatures ranging from the mid 70s in the Clifton area down to the upper 60s further inland, the humidity is high with dew points around 70.

Today will be quite warm and humid as temperatures rise to near 90 and with dew points in the low 70s will bring heat indexes close to 100, a heat advisory continues in effect.  Showers and thunderstorm are likely to develop this afternoon and continue into tonight,  some storms may be strong to severe with strong gusty winds and heavy downpours.

A cold front will cross the area on Saturday it will continue to be warm and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Sunday will be cooler and less humid but a disturbance along the front to our south may cause some more showers.

After a dry and pleasant Monday more showers are possible late Tuesday into Wednesday as a warm front pushes to our north followed by a cold front.

Dry weather should return for Thursday along with pleasant temperatures and humidity.
