Good morning!

Skies are cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from the low 30s in Clifton down to the mid 20s further inland. There are many icy patches on untreated surfaces so be careful heading out this morning. Yesterday in Clifton I measured 2.0 inches of snow and ice.

Skies will become mostly sunny this morning and be partly sunny this afternoon, it will become windy with gusts around 32 mph, with the sunshine temperatures will moderate into the low 40s.

Thursday will be a dry with mild temperatures and less wind.

It now appears that Friday will turn out to be mostly dry with only a slight chance of a shower as a cold front approaches the area, ahead of the front it will be quite mild with highs reaching the 50s.

Colder and dry on Saturday.

The next chance of snow will be on Sunday as a weak low pressure moves northeast off the coast, too early for details but as of now that rain or snow will develop in the afternoon and continue as snow at night.

Dry weather early next week with seasonably cool temperatures.

Snow developing this morning changing to sleet and freezing rain by noontime and plain rain late tonight!

Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning, some light snow is falling across parts of central New Jersey, temperatures range form the upper 20s in Clifton down to the middle teens further inland, winds are mainly light from the northeast.

A low pressure system will be moving into the area today, the snow has been delayed somewhat but should develop by 8 a.m. and continue into the late morning when it will mix with sleet and freezing rain. Mainly sleet and freezing rain will fall in the afternoon into tonight and not change to plain rain until late tonight before ending before daybreak on Wednesday. Total accumulations of 2-5 inches are expected followed by a tenth of an inch of ice.

We dry out on Wednesday and with temperatures in the 40s will help melt any snow and ice that is still on the ground. It will also become windy with gusts to 35 mph possible.

Thursday will be a nice day with mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures.

Another storm system will give us rain likely falling from Friday afternoon into Saturday. Temperatures will continue to be mild.

Colder on Sunday with mainly dry conditions however a weak disturbance will give us a chance of some light snow at night.

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and there is some light snow or flurries falling mainly across the central and southern parts of New Jersey, temperatures range from the mid to upper 20s throughout the region.

Today will be a cloudy day with light winds, high temperatures will be similar to yesterday with readings in the upper 30s.

A low pressure system will be moving into our area tonight with snow developing mainly after 1 a.m. and continuing until mid morning when the precipitation is expected to mix with sleet and freezing rain, then change to plain rain late in the day on Tuesday and continue into the night. Total snow accumulation should range from 3-5 inches with somewhat higher amounts inland.

We dry out on Wednesday and temperatures will be seasonably mild but it will be windy.

Dry and mild weather should continue on Thursday with lighter winds.

Another storm system will affect our area mainly from Friday afternoon into Saturday but this should be in the form of just plain rain. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are expected that may cause some flooding.

Clearing windy and seasonably cold weather is expected on Sunday.

High pressure over the area now will be moving off the coast, we should see an increase in clouds by this afternoon, temperatures will be a little milder than on Saturday and with much less wind it will feel more comfortable.

A weak disturbance will give us a chance of light snow or flurries late tonight, accumulations of a coating to maybe an inch is possible.

A stronger low pressure area will move into the area Monday night with snow developing mixing with sleet Tuesday morning and then to all rain Tuesday ending before daybreak on Wednesday. Snow accumulations of 2-4 inches are possible before the changeover.

Quiet weather with slightly above normal temperatures Wednesday and during the day on Thursday.

Another low pressure area will affect our area on Friday and Saturday but this time it appears that only rain will fall in our area but may begin as a wintery mix further inland.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are much colder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from the mid 20s in Clifton down to the mid teens further inland, winds are gusty out of the northwest making it feel even colder.

Today will be a mostly sunny day, it will be seasonably cold with highs about 5 degrees below normal. Winds will be gusty but diminish late in the day. Tonight with less winds and with clear skies, temperatures will fall into the teens in Clifton to some single digits well inland.

During the day on Sunday we should see an increase in clouds, temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher and with less winds it will feel more comfortable than today.

A weak disturbance may touch off some light snow or flurries Sunday night into early Monday morning, accumulations should only be a coating to less than an inch.

A more significant storm will move into the area Monday night into Tuesday, snow will develop and continue into Tuesday morning before mixing with sleet and rain, accumulations of 3-4 inches are possible before the changeover.

Wednesday will be dry and milder but with gusty winds.

After a dry Thursday another system will give us a chance of more precipitation Thursday night into Friday but this looks to be a mainly rain event but may start off as a wintery mix.
