Another very hot and humid day today as high pressure moves offshore and a cold front approaches from the northwest which will give our area a west-southwest flow of air. The temperatures may be a degree or two higher than yesterday. The heat index will rise to about 110. There is a slight chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm but most places will remain dry.

Low pressure will move along the front on Monday which will cause numerous showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening, rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely with higher amounts possible, a flash flood watch has been posted. Temperatures with the clouds and rain will be lower.

Showers should linger into Tuesday as the front moves slowly to our south.

Delightful summer weather Wednesday into next weekend as high pressure dominates. Temperatures will be seasonably warm with comfortable humidity along with plenty of sunshine each day.

Excessive heat will continue today with high temperatures reaching close to 100 degrees and with dew points in the 70s will push the heat index up to close to 115. There is a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm mainly inland, but most of the area will be dry.

Another very hot day on Sunday with highs again near 100 and heat indexes up to 115. There will be a somewhat better chance of an afternoon thunderstorm but again most places will remain dry.

A cold front will slowly move through the area on Monday and be offshore on Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms are likely, and with more clouds and rain high temperatures will be much lower, but it will still be humid.

Some lingering showers Tuesday morning followed by much less humid air.

Very pleasant summer weather Wednesday through Friday with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity.

The front that caused clouds and showers yesterday and cooler temperatures will move to our north and a southwest flow of very hot and humid air will move into our area. The clouds will burn off and we will have a mostly sunny day with temperatures reaching into the 90s along with dew points in the 70s will cause heat indexes to rise to near 105 today.

Excessive heat and humidity will continue over the weekend with highs both days near 100 degrees and with dew points in the upper 70s will cause heat indexes to rise past 115 degrees. Most of the time will remain dry but a cold front may cause some showers and thunderstorms late Sunday.

The front will move slowly to our south and Monday we will have a good chance of showers, it will still be humid but with clouds the temperatures will be much lower.

High pressure will then build into our area giving us more seasonable temperatures along with much lower humidity Tuesday through at least Thursday.

The remains of Tropical Cyclone Barry will move offshore today as a weak cold front approaches from the north which will cause cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms likely, temperatures with the clouds and precipitation will be only in the 80s, but the humidity will remain high with dew points in the 70s.

Excessive heat is likely Friday through the weekend with highs well up into the 90s and may hit 100 on Saturday, and with the humidity will cause the heat index to rise to 115. Mainly dry Friday and Saturday but a chance of thunderstorms Sunday night as a cold front approaches the area.

The front will slowly move to our south early next week with a chance of showers Monday. Highs will be in the 80s, the humidity will still be high on Monday but will lower Tuesday and Wednesday.
