Today will be a mostly cloudy day and become gradually more humid, there is a slight chance of sprinkles this morning. High pressure will be moving off the New England coast.

A southwest flow around the high pressure will bring very warm and rather humid air into the area, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon into Thursday as a weak front crosses the area. It will be warm again on Thursday but become less humid by the afternoon.

High pressure will build down from New England on Friday with an onshore flow of cooler air.

Becoming warmer again over the weekend with only a low chance of showers on Saturday as a weak front moves through the area.

Generally warm and dry weather early next week.

Hurricane Dorian is moving northeast away from our area today as high pressure builds into our area, this will provide plenty of sunshine both today and on Sunday with seasonably warm temperatures and comfortable humidity with dew points in the 50s.

A weak cold front will cross the area Sunday evening but will come through dry. Monday and Tuesday will again have plenty of sunshine both days with slightly cooler temperatures.

Warmer and more humid Wednesday and Thursday along with a chance of showers as a warm front on Wednesday will be followed by a cold front on Thursday.

High pressure will then build in for Friday giving us another mostly sunny day with seasonably cool temperatures.

Today will be cloudy and cool as Hurricane Dorian moves northeast well away from our area but close enough to give us a chance of rain mainly this afternoon and evening, winds will pick up a bit from the northeast. Coastal areas will have more wind along with high surf and a high risk of dangerous rip currents.

The storm will move further away into the Canadian Maritimes and high pressure will build into the area. There will be plenty of sunshine both Saturday and Sunday along with seasonable temperatures and comfortable humidity.
