Today we will have partly sunny skies but it will become windy as low pressure moves offshore and high pressure builds from the upper midwest. Wind gusts of 45 mph are possible and a wind advisory is in effect. Temperatures will be mild with highs near 50 but become colder by late this afternoon, early morning lows on Friday will be in the low 20s.

During the day on Friday it will be mostly sunny but quite cold with diminishing winds, highs will struggle to reach the freezing mark and drop down to the teens by early Saturday morning.

A stronger low pressure system will affect our area on Saturday with snow developing around noon and continue into the evening then change to rain. Accumulations of 2-4 inches are possible before the changeover with higher amounts of up to 6 inches to our north and west.

Clearing on Sunday but again it will become windy.

Quite cold but mainly dry most of next week.

After early morning cloudiness it will become mostly sunny and it will be mild with light winds as weak high pressure builds into our area. A cold front will cross the area late tonight possibly accompanied by some light rain.

Clearing on Thursday but it will become quite windy, high temperatures will occur in the morning and start to drop in the afternoon.

Friday will be dry but it will be quite cold as Arctic high pressure builds into the area.

A storm system will give us snow by Saturday afternoon but change to rain Saturday night, possible accumulations of 2-4 inches before the changeover to rain.

Fair weather returns on Sunday with seasonably cold temperatures.

Quite cold early next week but we should stay dry.

Today will be mainly a cloudy day with a chance of very light rain this afternoon and evening as a weak disturbance moves to our south, temperatures will continue to be seasonably mild.

Tomorrow will be rather mild along with mostly sunny skies as weak high pressure builds into the area, most highs will be in the 50s, there is another chance of light showers Wednesday night as another disturbance moves through the area.

Thursday will be a dry and windy day, temperatures will be seasonably mild but become colder at night as Arctic air moves into our area.

Cold and dry on Friday.

A stronger disturbance on Saturday will cause snow most of the day and probably changing to rain at night, a few inches of snow is likely before the changeover. The precipitation may change back to snow before ending Sunday morning.

High pressure building from the north will give us a much cooler day today but temperatures will still be above normal with highs in the upper 40s, skies will be mostly cloudy.

Skies will be mostly cloudy again on Tuesday and a weak disturbance may cause some light showers in the afternoon and evening.

Wednesday will be dry during the day with mild temperatures but a frontal system will again give our area a chance of showers Wednesday night into Thursday.

Colder and dry on Friday.

A stronger system will likely give us snow on Saturday that may accumulate a few inches before changing to rain. Dry on Sunday with cold temperatures.

Skies are cloudy early on this Sunday morning and there are a few showers around the area. It is incredibly warm with temperatures ranging from the mid 60s in Clifton down to 60 further inland, winds are gusty out of the south-southwest. The temperature shortly after midnight was 66 degrees which is a new daily record for Clifton.

A strong south-southwest flow of unseasonably mild air will be with us this morning with gusts up to 45 mph. Not much in the way of showers as the rain to our west is weakening. We should see some sunshine this afternoon with winds slowly diminishing, highs in the 60s will drop to the 50s by sunset as a cold front comes through.

Monday will be dry with cooler temperatures but it still will be above normal for January.

Tuesday will be mild but a weak low pressure area may give us some light rain in the afternoon and evening.

A stronger front will cross the area on Thursday preceded by some showers Wednesday night into Tuesday morning.

Colder on Friday as some Arctic air moves into our area, temperatures will be near normal that will feel rather cold after the mild start of this month.

Low pressure will likely affect the area on Saturday with snow changing to rain.
