A southwest flow of unseasonably mild air will be with us today as a strong high off the coast dominates. Despite mostly cloudy conditions temperatures will rise into the 60s, no rain is expected.

A front will cross the area Sunday morning with a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, the showers are most likely between 3-8 a.m. Sunday will continue to be unseasonably warm with record highs again possible. A stronger cold front will cross the area late Sunday afternoon bringing in cooler weather Sunday night.

Monday will be cooler but still with above normal temperatures.

There will be a chance of showers Tuesday through Thursday, temperatures will continue to be above normal.

Colder weather is expected Friday through at least next weekend but at this time no winter storms are in sight.

After yesterday’s cold weather today will be much milder as high pressure has moved offshore and a southwest flow continues, skies will be mostly cloudy.

Near record or record warmth is expected over the weekend with highs both days in the 60s with a 70 degree reading possible on Sunday. At the present time it appears that most if not all of the showers will hold off until Sunday morning as a cold front approaches the area, there may even be a thunderstorm. Some partial clearing is possible Sunday afternoon.

Cooler temperatures but still above normal readings Monday and during the day on Tuesday with mainly dry condtions.

Seasonably mild weather to continued Wednesday and Thursday but with a chance of showers as a stronger cold front moves through our area.

A colder pattern is expected late next week and may last for several days.

Skies are clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are the lowest of 2020 so far with readings ranging from the low 20s in Clifton down to 13 degrees at High Point. These colder temperatures are actually normal for this time of year. Winds are still a little gusty out of the northwest.

A strong high pressure is building into our area today which will give us sunny and cold conditions today but with much less wind than yesterday, highs will be in the 30s which is near seasonable levels.

A warm front will cross the area on Friday and a southwesterly flow of milder air will move into our area, most of the day will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of some drizzle at night.

Near record warmth is expected this weekend as high pressure will be to our east and a slow moving cold front approaches from the west. It now looks like most of Saturday will be dry except for some drizzle, with most of the showers falling late Saturday night into Sunday morning. Temperatures both days will be in the 60s with an outside chance of 70 degree reading in parts of the area on Sunday.

Mainly dry early next week, temperatures will be cooler but remain above normal.

A change in the pattern is likely toward the end of next week which will finally bring in some colder temperatures.

Our area did not produce the dusting of snow that was expected last night as the precipitation remained south and east of our area. Today we will have another chance of a dusting of snow as a cold front is expected to cross the area this afternoon accompanied by some snow showers or brief snow squalls and followed by a strong westerly flow of colder air, wind gusts to 40 mph are possible.

High pressure will then build into the area on Thursday giving us a sunny day but cold with lows in the teens and highs only in the 30s, winds will be much lighter.

As the high pressure moves off the coast a southwest flow of milder air will develop for Friday, skies will be mostly cloudy.

Unseasonably mild weather for the weekend with highs possibly reaching the 60s both days but a slow moving cold front will cause showers mainly Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Cooler but with still above normal temperatures early next week along with a chance of rain Monday and Tuesday.

Today we will see an increase in cloudiness, temperatures will be seasonably mild with highs in the mid 40s. A weak disturbance will cause a mixture of snow and rain to develop this evening and then change to snow before ending around midnight, a dusting of around 1/2″ of snow is possible.

Wednesday will be a colder day with a chance of snow showers, it will become windy by the afternoon with possible gusts to 35 mph.

Thursday will be a sunny day and it will be cold with early morning readings near 20, with highs only in the mid 30s, but this is only a couple of degrees below normal.

The cold air will be short lived as a southwesterly flow will develop on Friday and highs will approach the 50 degree mark.

Unseasonably mild over the weekend with rain likely mainly from late Saturday into Sunday, highs both days may reach the 60s.
