Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and there are some snow flurries falling in parts of the area, temperatures range from the mid 30s in Clifton to the upper 20s further inland, winds are a little brisk out of the east.

A low pressure area will move to our south and precipitation from this system will develop this morning and continue into this evening. The precipitation will fall as some snow this morning before changing to rain this afternoon, little or no accumulations expected for the Clifton area but 2-3 inches are possible over the higher terrain in northwest New Jersey, the Poconos and the Hudson Valley. Rainfall amounts will be 1 to 1 1/2 inches.
High pressure will build into the area on Tuesday giving us a partly sunny and pleasantly mild day.
More rain on Wednesday as another low pressure area moves into our area, with more clouds and precipitation it will be cooler.
After a dry day on Thursday the weather will become unsettled Thursday night through the weekend with some rain or showers possible, temperatures during this period should average above normal.

TODAY – MAR 23 – Cloudy with snow this morning changing to rain by this afternoon, high in the low 40s, little or no accumulation expected.
TONIGHT – Rain ending by midnight, cloudy, low in the mid 30s.
TUESDAY – MAR 24 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 50s.
WEDNESDAY – MAR 25 – Cloudy with rain, high in the upper 40s.
THURSDAY – MAR 26 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 50s.
FRIDAY – MAR 27 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 60s.
SATURDAY – MAR 28 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the mid 50s.
SUNDAY – MAR 29 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the mid 50s.
MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 2 p.m., Tuesday afternoon for northeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 5-8 fee.
OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Tuesday night: small craft advisories expected on Wednesday with some gale gusts possible; advisories possible for high seas Thursday and Friday.
