Skies are partly cloudy early on this Friday morning, some light rain showers have moved to our east and some snow showers overnight gave a dusting of snow across the higher elevations of Sussex County. Temperatures are cool with readings ranging from the mid 30s in Clifton down to around 30 further inland, winds are gusty out of the northwest.

Strong low pressure off the Maine coast along with high pressure building from the middle of the country will give us a strong northwest flow of cool air along with partly sunny skies, winds may gust up to 40 mph.

Saturday will be a sunny day with slightly milder temperatures, it will still be breezy but less wind than today.

Easter Sunday will be milder but we should see an increase in clouds during the day with rain developing late at night as low pressure approaches our area.

Soaking rain especially on Monday morning as the low pressure moves through the area, expect 1 to 2 inches of rainfall.

Still a chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday with cooler temperatures.

A strong cold front will cross the area this afternoon preceded and accompanied by showers and possibly a thunderstorm. After the front passes a strong westerly flow of cooler and drier air will move into the area, winds may gust to 45 mph and a wind advisory is in effect for our area.

Friday will be cooler and quite windy again as low pressure moves to the Canadian maritime region and high pressure builds from the west, temperatures will be cooler and there is a slight chance of rain showers that may be mixed with snow across the higher elevations to our north and west.

Mainly dry weather for the weekend but a storm system will give us rain late Sunday night into Monday. Temperatures will be a little below normal on Saturday and near normal on Easter.

The storm system on Monday will likely give our area heavy rain at times especially in the morning, rainfall amounts will be 1-2 inches. Milder temperatures are likely.

Still a chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday with near normal temperatures.

Low pressure along a front to our south will move offshore and rain with the system will end mainly before 8 a.m. The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy with continued mild temperatures.

A strong front will move through the area on Thursday with showers and thunderstorms likely, the front will be followed by a strong westerly flow of cooler air by late in the day.

Friday will be a cool and windy day as low pressure moves through the Canadian maritime region and high pressure builds in from the west. Most of the day will be dry but there is a slight chance of snow or rain showers mostly to our north and west.

At this point most of the weekend will be dry but another low pressure area will likely give our area a soaking rain late Sunday night into Monday. Temperatures will be cooler than normal on Saturday, near normal on Sunday and above normal on Monday.

High pressure will be moving off the coast and today will be mild again with variable amounts of clouds and sunshine.

A strong cold front will cross the area on Thursday with showers and again possible thunderstorms.

A cold front crossed the area overnight which caused some light showers, this front will move offshore and we will have much drier air move into the area. Not much cold air behind the front so with sunshine the temperatures will rise well up into the 60s.

Another nice day on Tuesday with high pressure over the area although we should see an increase in clouds.

A weak front will likely give us some showers Wednesday morning followed by clearing.

A stronger front will give us a chance of showers on Thursday followed by windy and much cooler air Thursday night into Friday.

At this point the weekend looks to be seasonably cool, it should be mainly dry but there is a low chance of a shower on Easter Sunday.
