Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and it is warm again with temperatures ranging from the low 70s in Clifton down tot he low 60s further inland. Winds are mainly calm or light southwesterly.

Today will be another hot and humid day with near record high temperatures again possible. A cold front will cross the area this evening possibly preceded by strong to severe thunderstorms with possible hail and damaging winds. The best chance of storms will be between 2-8 p.m.
Much less humid and cooler on Wednesday with plenty of sunshine as high pressure builds into our area from the northwest.
The cool and dry air will be short lived as a warm front passes north of the area Thursday morning with another hot and humid day with again a chance of strong thunderstorms.
A cold front approaching the area along with the remnants of Tropical Storm Laura will give us a good chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday and Saturday, it will be continued warm and humid.
Much cooler and drier Sunday and Monday with plenty of sunshine both days.
Tropics: Laura is expected to become an intense hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico and come ashore on the north Texas coast on Thursday.

TODAY – AUG 25 – Increasing cloudiness with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 2 p.m, some storms may be accompanied by strong gusty winds, small hail and damaging winds, near record highs in the low 90s.
TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy early with a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. then becoming clear, low in the mid 60s.
WEDNESDAY – AUG 26 – Sunny, cooler and much less humid, high near 80.
THURSDAY – AUG 27 – Partly sunny, warmer and more humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.
FRIDAY – AUG 28 – Partly sunny and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.
SATURDAY – AUG 29 – Mostly cloudy and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 80s.
SUNDAY – AUG 30 – Mostly sunny and much less humid, high near 80.
MONDAY – AUG 31 – Sunny, high near 80.
