High pressure will give us a sunny and cool day today, however the skies will not be bright blue as smoke in the higher altitudes from the fires out west will be over our area. Temperatures will be cool with highs struggling to reach the 70 degree mark.

Milder Wednesday into Thursday as the high pressure moves off shore and a southwest flow develops.

A cold front is expected to cross our area Thursday night with a low chance of light showers into Friday.

Dry weather is expected for the weekend but it will be quite cool. Cool weather is expected to continue into early next week.

A cold front will cross the area this morning only associated with some early cloudiness and followed by a mostly sunny day with seasonably mild temperatures and lower humidity.

Mainly fair weather tonight and we should have the coolest air of the season so far with lows by Tuesday morning mainly in the 40s. Daytime highs will only reach about 70 degrees.

Milder Wednesday and Thursday. A cold front will cross the area Thursday night or Friday morning possibly accompanied by showers.

Today will be a partly sunny day as high pressure moves offshore and a weak cold front approaches our area. Temperatures will be around 5 degrees warmer than yesterday with most highs in the upper 70s. There is a low chance of a light shower tonight as the cold front passes.

Monday will be a sunny day with seasonably mild temperatures.

Tuesday will be cool and early morning lows may drop to the lowest levels of the season with temperatures possibly falling in the upper 40s.

High pressure building in from northern New York state will give us a mostly sunny day with comfortably cool temperatures and low humidity.

Earlier this week it appeared that Sunday would be a rainy day with heavy rain possible but the frontal system has weakened and the only chance of a shower will be at night as the front comes through our area.

Mainly dry weather next week. Early morning lows Tuesday and Wednesday should be the coolest of the season so far. A slight warming trend is expected at the end of the week.

Yesterday most of the rain in Clifton was in the morning with only a brief shower in the evening while areas just to our south and east received over 2 inches of rain.

A cold front is moving offshore as high pressure to our west builds into the area. Skies will become mostly sunny, temperatures will be seasonably warm but the dew points that were in the 70s yesterday will fall into the 50s by this afternoon.

Saturday will be a fall like day with seasonably cool temperatures along with low humidity as high pressure continues over the area.

The main change in the forecast is lowering the chances of rain as models show a weakening front moving through the area and we should avoid any heavy rain on Sunday.

Fair weather should return by Monday and it will likely be the coolest air of the season by Tuesday morning.

Dry weather should persist Wednesday into Thursday with a slight warming trend.
