Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. are rather mild with readings ranging from 63 in Clifton down to 57 at Hackettstown, winds are light mainly from the southwest.

Today will be a mostly sunny and hot day with increasing humidity ahead of a cold front that will come through late tonight. This front may produce some strong to possibly severe thunderstorms late this afternoon into this evening with strong gusty winds and small hail. We could use some rain since it is now 16 days without measurable rainfall.
Tomorrow will be warm but much less humid along with sunny skies.
Friday will be cooler with rain developing in the afternoon and continuing into at least early Saturday, with rainfall amounts of around 1 inch. Highs both days with only be in the 60s.
Sunday’s weather is a bit tricky as some models are indicating another low pressure area offshore that may give us rain but at this time precipitation probabilities is 20%.
Dry weather on Memorial Day into Tuesday with milder temperatures expected.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect between 2 and 10 p.m. today for southerly winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet.
