Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 70 in Clifton down to 66 at High Point. Winds are mainly calm and the humidity continues to be high with dew points in the upper 60s.

A cold front will come through this morning and showers will develop late this morning and continue through most of the afternoon. It will become cooler with early highs in the 70s dropping off to the low 60s by sunset. We should see some clearing tonight with lows by tomorrow morning falling down to the low 50s.
High pressure will dominate our weather Wednesday through Friday providing the area with plenty of sunshine each day along with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity.
As the high moves offshore over the weekend we should see a return to more heat and humidity along with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
Warm and humid weather to continue through at least the early part of next week.
