Monday will be a quite warm and humid day with partial sunshine. A cold front will be crossing the area at night giving our area a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
Tuesday should be dry and warm with decreasing humidity.
Flooding rains are expected Wednesday into Thursday morning as the remains of Hurricane Ida moves into our area. Rainfall amounts could reach 3-6 inches in our area. Ida is now at Category 4 hurricane with top winds of 140 MPH and is expected to hit the New Orleans area tonight.
After the remains of Ida moves offshore high pressure will build into our area on Friday and at this point the Labor Day weekend looks to be dry with seasonable temperature and low humidity, much nicer weather than the Memorial and Independence weekends this year.
