Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Labor Day and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 67 in Clifton to 62 at High Point. Winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high.

A cold front is moving offshore and high pressure will build into the area today and we will have mostly sunny skies with warmer temperatures but lower humidity, a rather nice end to our holiday weekend. The Passaic River at Little Falls and Pinebrook are at minor to moderate flood levels but should be below flood stage by late tonight.
Tuesday will again have mostly sunny skies with low humidity and seasonably warm temperatures.
A cold front approaching our area on Wednesday with a southerly flow of warm and more humid air along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and at night, some storms may be strong.
Then high pressure will build back into the area on Thursday and last through the weekend providing us with seasonable warm temperatures, low humidity and plenty of sunshine each day.
