Well better late than never. After replacing the router after a close lightning strike last night we are back up and running.

Some breaks in the clouds right now and temperatures at 3:30 p.m. range from 58 in Clifton down to 51 at High Point, winds are now light from the southwest. Total rainfall since last night is 5.15″

The storm responsible for the heavy rain is not redeveloping off the coast and after a break in the precipitation some light to moderate rain is likely later this afternoon into tonight, additional rainfall should be less than an inch.

Wednesday will start off cloudy but we should see some clearing as the storm will slowly move eastward. It will be breezy with gusts to 30 mph.

Thursday should be a quiet weather day with sunny skies and seasonably cool temperatures.

Another storm system will give us more rain from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening however rain should not be as heavy as this past storm maybe around an inch with some higher amounts.

Halloween looks to be a sunny day with near seasonable temperatures and that dry weather should continue into Monday.

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and some light rain is falling in parts of the area. Temperatures are around 10 degrees warmer than this time yesterday with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 55 in Clifton down to 49 at Wantage. Winds are light and variable.

Showers should end early this morning as a warm front moves north of the area. Today will be a mostly cloudy and warmer day with temperatures rising into the 70s.

A strong coastal low will affect our area tonight through Tuesday night causing heavy rain and strong gusty winds. Rainfall in our area will be around 2-4 inches and winds will gust to near 40 mph. A flash flood watch is in effect.

Some early showers Wednesday morning then we should see some sunshine with seasonable temperatures during the day. Thursday will be sunny with continued seasonable temperatures.

Another potentially strong storm will likely give us more rain Friday into Saturday.

At this time Halloween seems like it will be a nice day with highs in the low 60s, which is milder than last year when the highs were only in the upper 40s.

Also it now appears that for the first time since at least 1973 that our low temperatures didn’t fall below 40 degrees in October.

Today will start out mostly sunny but we should see some high clouds as a warm front approaches our area this afternoon. The front will move to our north late tonight accompanied by a chance of showers.

Monday will be a mostly cloudy day but we will be in the warm sector as high tempertures reach well up into the 70s along with higher humidity.

A strong storm over the middle of the country will move toward our area causing rain that will be moderate to heavy from Monday night through Tuesday tapering off to showers and ending by Wednesday morning.

A brief dry period from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday, but another strong low will likely give us another round of rain Friday into Saturday.

High temperatures much of this week will be around normal but overnight lows will be above normal.

Most of the day on Monday we will be in the warm sector and we should stay dry and quite mild but a low pressure area will give us rain Monday night into Tuesday with cooler temperatures on Tuesday.

There may be a break in the showers Wednesday afternoon and during the day on Thursday but another low pressure will give us a good chance of rain Thursday night into Friday.
