Skies are partly cloudy early on this Monday morning and it is unseasonably warm with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from a sultry 81 degrees in Clifton down to 66 at Walpack. The humidity is high with dew points in the low 70s and the winds are mainly light southwesterly.

A cold front approaching from the northwest will give us showers and thunderstorms mainly this afternoon and tonight. Some storms may be accompanied by heavy rain and strong gusty winds. High temperatures will be a little lower than this past weekend but the humidity will be higher with dew points in the low 70s.
The front will push offshore Tuesday morning and it will be a much nicer day with seasonably warm temperatures and lower humidity.
The weather becomes more unsettled as a low pressure trough will be near the area causing mainly low chance of showers Wednesday through Friday. Temperatures will average above normal with Thursday will be the warmest and most humid day of this period.
At this point the weekend looks dry with seasonably warm temperatures.

WEDNESDAY – JUL 27 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.
THURSDAY – JUL 28 – Partly sunny, hot and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 90s.
FRIDAY – JUL 29 – Partly sunny with a chance of a shower becoming less humid, high near 90.
SATURDAY – JUL 30 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.
SUNDAY – JUL 31 – Partly sunny, high near 90.
MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 4 a.m. Tuesday morning for southwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-7 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 76 degrees.
