Becoming mostly sunny today and milder after early morning cloudiness! Dry and mild Thursday and Friday! Still mild but rain is likely mainly Saturday night into New Year’s morning! Continued mild through the middle of next week with another chance of rain around Tuesday!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from 29 in Clifton down to 22 at Basking Ridge. Winds are mainly calm.

High pressure over our area will give us dry conditions along with milder temperatures and light winds. Highs in the 40s will feel so much more comfortable than the last few days.

Still mild and dry Thursday into Friday as the high pressure moves off the coast.

Rain chances increase for New Year’s Eve into New Year’s day as a frontal system moves through the area. Most of the rain will fall New Year’s Eve night hampering any outside activities.

Dry and continued mild on Monday but another frontal system will give us a chance of rain on Tuesday.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the upper 20s.

THURSDAY – DEC 29 – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.

SATURDAY – DEC 31 – Cloudy with a chance of showers mainly after noon, high in the low 50s. Rain likely at night.

NEW YEAR’S DAY – JAN 1 – Chance of showers in the morning then becoming partly sunny, high in the mid 50s.

MONDAY – JAN 2 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 50s.

TUESDAY – JAN 3– Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the mid 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southwest winds to 10 knots, seas 1-2 feet.
