Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this last day of 2022 and temperatures are mild with early readings ranging from 46 in Clifton down to 32 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm.

After yesterday’s record high today will be not as mild but temperatures will continue to be well above normal with highs in the 50s. Showers are likely mainly from around 1 p.m. this afternoon through 1 a.m. late tonight as a frontal system moves through the area. Rainfall amounts will average around 1/4″
High pressure will build into the area for New Year’s Day producing sunny skies and continued mild temperatures.
The well above normal temperatures should continue much of next week with showers again possible from Tuesday afternoon through early Thursday morning.
Fair weather is then expected for Friday with highs closer to normal in the low 40s.
