The storm that gave us the rain and some snow is moving away from the area as high pressure builds from the west. Today will have a mixture of clouds and sun. Temperatures will be in the 40s this morning dropping to the 30s by sunset. Winds will gust to 35 mph.

Friday will be partly sunny with less wind and with seasonably mild temperatures.

This weekend will be mild and mainly dry with highs both days near 50.

Above normal temperatures will continue through the middle of next week. There is a slight chance of a shower on Monday and a better chance of rain or snow Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Low pressure now over the lower Mississippi Valley will move into our area today. Precipitation should start off as snow around noon or shortly after quickly changing to rain this afternoon. Possible snowfall amounts will be less than a half of inch in the Clifton area but up to 2-4 inches over the higher elevations to our north and west. Easterly winds will increase with gusts to 35 mph by tonight with temperatures rising to the 40s by evening. Rain will be heavy at times through tonight with total rainfall amounts averaging 1-2 inches.

As the storm passes the precipitation should end before daybreak on Thursday with clearing during the day, winds will be gusty out of the west to 35 mph. Early temperatures in the 40s will drop to the 30s by sunset.

A fairly tranquil pattern Friday through the beginning of next week with dry conditions. Temperatures will be near normal Friday, above normal over the weekend and then still a little above normal early next week.

The storm system that gave us rain and some snow yesterday is moving well off the New England coast as high pressure builds in from the west. Today will be a breezy day with partly sunny skies and seasonably mild temperatures with highs in the 40s.

A rather potent storm system will give us precipitation from late Wednesday morning ending before sunrise on Thursday. The precipitation may start off as a burst of snow before changing to rain, snow accumulations of 1-2″ are possible before the changeover. Temperatures will rise into the 40s by late in the day which will wash all the snow away. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 1 1/2″ likely.

As the storm system moves away from us we will dry out on Thursday but it will be windy with possible gusts to 40 mph. Early highs in the 40s will drop to the 30s by sunset.

Mainly dry weather with continued above normal temperatures Friday through most of the weekend. A weak frontal system may touch off some rain showers Sunday night.

A low pressure area will be moving through our area and off the New England coast by tonight. Periods or rain is expected throughout the day which may change to snow before ending. No accumulation is expected here but a dusting may occur further inland. Winds will become gusty out of the northwest to 35 mph by late this afternoon.

Tuesday will be a quiet and seasonably mild day with mostly sunny skies.

Another potent storm will affect us from late Wednesday morning through Wednesday night. Precipitation should begin late in the morning as some snow especially inland before changing to rain in the afternoon. We may have a dusting mainly on colder surfaces here but may accumulate a couple of inches further inland before the changeover. Rainfall amounts will average between 1-2 inches.

Thursday will be cloudy and breezy.

High pressure will be sliding off our coast today as a low pressure system approaches from the southwest. Today will be cloudy with rain developing around 5 p.m. possibly beginning as a wintery mix across the higher elevations inland. The rain will continue through much of Monday as the storm moves slowly to the northeast.

Tuesday will be a dry and mild day with highs well up into the 40s.

Another possibly stronger system will cause precipitation mainly from late morning on Wednesday ending early Thursday morning. The precipitation will likely begin as snow in much of the area before changing to plain rain by Wednesday evening.

Clearing on Thursday will above normal temperatures as the low moves away and high pressure builds into our area, winds will be gusty.

Dry with near seasonable temperatures should prevail Friday through next weekend.
