Good morning everyone!
Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and it is unseasonably mild with early readings ranging from 64 in Clifton down to 54 at Hackettstown. Winds are mainly from the southwest averaging 5-10 mph.
CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR APRIL 12TH:
AVERAGE HIGH: 59 AVERAGE LOW: 41
RECORD HIGH: 90 – 1977 RECORD LOW: 25 – 1976
YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 77 LOW: 48 PRECIPITATION: NONE
High pressure to our south will continue a warm southwest flow. We should see more sunshine after early morning cloudiness. Highs will be mainly in the low 80s which is well short of the record 90 degrees set back in 1977. Again there will be a chance of brush fires today as the humidity will be low and there will be a rather brisk wind.
Record highs are likely Thursday and Friday as the high pressure ridge continues to dominate our weather. Highs both day will be well up into the 80s.
Not as warm over the weekend as we will have more clouds and a chance of showers.
Unsettled weather to continue Monday and Tuesday with a chance of showers both days as a cold front crosses our area. Temperatures will be closer to normal.
