Skies are partly to mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are a little warmer than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 66 in Clifton down to 55 at High Point. Winds are mainly from the north. The air quality is good with an index of 35.

High pressure building in from the northwest will give us very pleasant early August weather both today and tomorrow. There will be plenty of sunshine both days with temperatures a little below normal. The humidity with be low with dew points in the comfortable low 50s.
A warm front will approach the area on Thursday; most of the day will be dry but there will be a chance of showers later at night. High temperatures will still be slightly below normal but the humidity will be somewhat higher.
The frontal system will be over the area on Friday which will likely produce showers and thunderstorms along with high humidity as dew points reach the 70 degree mark.
At this point the weekend’s weather looks dry with near seasonable temperatures along with lower humidity.
Another frontal system may give us a shower on Monday.

MONDAY – AUG 7 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 80s.
