Increasing cloudiness today and a little cooler! Mainly dry and chilly Wednesday and Thursday! Milder Friday through the weekend with rain likely on Sunday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are cooler than yesterday morning but still a little above normal with readings ranging from 37 in Clifton down to 29 at Pequest. Winds are from the west around 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 35.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR DECEMBER 5TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 47 AVERAGE LOW: 30

RECORD HIGH: 68 – 2001 RECORD LOW: 16 – 1989  12.0″ of snow in 2003.

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 50 LOW 39 PRECIPITATION: NONE

Today will be a cooler day as weak high pressure builds into the area. A weak disturbance is expected to move to our south overnight and may touch off some flurries inland but most areas will remain dry.

Another high pressure area will dominate our weather Wednesday and Thursday with cooler than normal temperatures.

As the high pressure moves off shore we will have a southwesterly flow of milder air Friday through the weekend but a rather strong low pressure system will likely give us rain and possible some strong winds on Sunday.

Fair with near seasonable temperatures are expected early next week.
