Temperatures range from 38 in Clifton down to 30 at High Point. Winds are a little gusty out of the northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 21.

The strong frontal system will move to our east today and the rain should end around 9 a.m., the rain may be mixed with snow mainly across higher elevations well inland. Northwest winds will become gusty later this morning with gusts to near 35 mph, the wind will diminish by late in the day. High temperatures will be near normal in the low 40s.

Quiet and dry weather this week. Temperatures will be seasonably cool Tuesday through Thursday but become milder by Friday and that should extend through the weekend. The only slight chance of precipitation will be later on Sunday as a coastal low pressure develops.

Rain should be light to moderate during the day but become heave at times at night with even a chance of a thunderstorm. Winds will gust to near 40 mph especially at night into early Monday morning. As colder air moves in behind the storm some of the precipitation may mix with snow well inland before ending Monday morning.

The storm will move offshore and skies will become mostly sunny by Monday afternoon but it will still be breezy.
