Light snow is falling over much of the area and about 1″ has accumulated so far. Temperatures range from 22 in Clifton down to 15 at High Point. Winds are light from the north-northeast. The air quality is moderate with an index of 54.

A weak low pressure will move offshore today and we will continue to have mainly light snow although the snow may be mixed with some sleet and freezing rain at times. An additional 1-2″ of snow accumulation is likely.
Cold Arctic high pressure will then be with us Wednesday and Thursday with dry weather.
Another rather weak low pressure area will likely give us more light snow from around midnight Thursday night through Friday evening.
The weekend looks to be dry and very cold.
Next week looks to be milder with above normal temperatures.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. this afternoon through midnight Wednesday night for westerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.
OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Thursday through the day on Friday; advisories likely Friday night; gale force gusts possible for Saturday.
