Skies continue to be mostly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from 31 in Clifton down to 27 at High Point and Vernon. Winds are from the north averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of just 18.

High pressure will build from the Great Lakes giving us a northerly flow of seasonably cool air today. Skies should become mostly sunny after early morning cloudiness.

Sunny on Sunday as the high pressure builds closer to the area, high temperatures may be a couple of degrees higher than today.

An extended period of dry weather is expected next week, temperatures will be near normal Monday through Wednesday then become milder Thursday and Friday with highs near 50. both days.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, lows in the upper 20s.

WEDNESDAY – FEB 7 – Sunny, highs in the mid 40s.

THURSDAY – FEB 8 – Mostly sunny, highs near 50.

FRIDAY – FEB 9 – Mostly cloudy, highs in the low 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. this afternoon for northerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-6 feet.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Sunday through the day on Monday; advisories possible Monday night through Wednesday.
