Mostly sunny and mild today with very light winds! Continued mostly sunny and mild on Friday! Mild weather to continue on the weekend with a low chance of showers Saturday afternoon! Cooler with rain and or snow likely Monday and Tuesday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are a few degrees milder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 31 in Clifton down to 23 at Walpack and Pequest. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 58.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR FEBRUARY 8TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 38 AVERAGE LOW: 23

RECORD HIGH: 62 – 2017 RECORD LOW: 5 – 1985

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 49 LOW: 28 PRECIPITATION: NONE

High pressure will be along the east coast today and we will again have mostly sunny skies. Winds will be quite light and with highs in the low 50s it will be a pleasant winter day.

Friday will again be mostly sunny and mild as the high pressure moves off the coast.

Continued mild over the weekend, but a weak cold front will give us a chance of light showers Saturday afternoon.

A low pressure system will likely give us rain and or snow Monday into Tuesday. The track and strength of the storm is uncertain at this time. The GFS model would give us a foot of snow while the European model indicates we would have only rain.. So at this time I expect a mixture of rain and snow, with the chances of more in the way of snow being in the higher elevations to our north and west.
