Good morning everyone!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from 28 in Clifton down to 20 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 19.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR FEBRUARY 14TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 39 AVERAGE LOW: 24

RECORD HIGH: 57 – 2023 RECOORD LOW: -3 – 2016

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 39 LOW: 30 PRECIPITATION: .85″ SNOWFALL: 8.5″

The storm that gave our area the highest snow accumulation since February 1, 2021 has moved well off the Nova Scotia coast as high pressure builds from the west. The combination of these systems will give a brisk northwest flow of cold air. Highs will be in the 30s, but with the winds it will feel more like the 20s.

Thursday we will see an increase in clouds as a weak low pressure moves to our north, which will then give us a chance of light snow showers at night.

Friday will be sunny, but once again it will be windy as low pressure moves to the Canadian Maritimes and high pressure builds again from the west.

Another weak disturbance will give a chance of rain or snow Saturday morning followed by a sunny but cold day on Sunday.

Dry early next week with a slight warming trend as high pressure moves offshore and a more southerly flow develops.
