Cloudy and mild today with light rain ending this morning! Mostly sunny, breezy and colder on Saturday! Sunny and seasonably cold on Sunday with less wind. Quite mild much of next week with showers likely Wednesday into Thursday!

Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and there is some light rain or drizzle falling over parts of the area. Temperatures are milder that the last few mornings with readings ranging from 38 in Clifton down to 31 at High Point. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is good with an index of 47.

A low pressure system will give us cloudy skies with the light rain and drizzle ending mainly by just after daybreak. It will remain cloudy but mild with highs in the upper 40s to near 50.

A secondary cold front will cross the area Saturday morning followed by a brisk northwest flow of colder air. High temperatures will be in the upper 30s to near 40 but with some gusts to 25 mph will make it feel colder despite mostly sunny skies.

Still sunny and seasonably cold on Sunday with less wind than on Saturday.

Very mild weather next week. Monday and Tuesday should be dry but rain is likely Wednesday into Thursday as a strong frontal system approaches our area from the west.

WEDNESDAY – FEB 28 – Mostly cloudy with rain likely, quite mild, highs in the low 60s.

THURSDAY – FEB 29 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday evening for southwest winds today becoming northwest on Saturday gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK: Small craft advisories expected to continue Sunday through Tuesday.
