Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures continue to be unseasonably mild with readings ranging from 47 in Clifton down to 42 at Vernon. Winds are calm or light northerly. The air quality is good with an index of 36.

Today will not be as mild as we will have more clouds and a light northerly flow from weak high pressure; still highs will be in the upper 50s which is still more than ten degrees above normal.
A low pressure area will move into the area from the south giving us rain from before dawn on Tuesday through the early evening. High temperatures will be a little cooler due to the rain and clouds. Rainfall amounts will average between 1/2 and 3/4 of an inch.
There will be a break in the rain Tuesday night into Wednesday morning but a stronger low pressure system will give us rain some possibly heavy Wednesday afternoon through the day on Thursday. Rainfall amounts should be between 1-2 inches.
Another brief break in the rain on Friday.
More rain is likely for the weekend with temperatures closer to normal.
